Translations within Instagram Stories

Instagram is now working on bringing translations to its popular Stories product. Currently, it offers text translation on its platform: comments, subtitles and profiles. In addition, Instagram will display a "See Translation" button below the text on posts written in a language other than the default language of your Instagram app. This option will appear for translations available for that particular language.

Instagram Stories lets Instagram accounts post photos and videos that vanish after 24 hours. Stories were launched in August 2016 and continues to be popular today.

Recently, it was reported that Instagram might be working on adding a translation to Stories. According to app researchers, Instagram is testing the ability to translate text in Stories. This feature will be visible as a "View Translation" button that will appear just below the username in Stories. First, it will show the original text written in the story, and just below it will show the translated text. Then, when you tap on that Instagram, the translated text gets displayed in a pop-up box below.

Q: How can I see translations for comments, captions and profiles on Instagram? A: Captions and comments on posts in feed, as well as the bio you include on your profile, are translated automatically based on the language they're written in and the language settings of the person viewing it. If your language is available as a translation, you can tap See Translation below the text to see it.
