Director of Business Development - Bi-Lingual Staffing and Recruiting

Company Overview

Foreign Staffing, Inc, a newly formed division of Foreign Translations, Inc. is looking for a Director of Business Development. This division will specialize in placing bi-lingual professional applicants, initially in the United States. then expanding around the world. The position is located in the corporate headquarters in Greenville, South Carolina.

With the job market expecting to rebound, we are seeking an experienced recruiter who wants to get involved on the ground floor of a new division in a 13 year old global company. Foreign Staffing, Inc. will become a premier provider of bi-lingual recruiting services for companies all over the world (www.foreignstaffing.com). Job Description

As this division is in a startup mode, the experienced applicant will initially handle the following responsibilities:

  • Divide time between prospecting/securing customers and finding applicants
  • Create and implement client and applicant agreements/contracts
  • Create processes and systems for applicant screening
  • Offer direct input on development and structure of organization
  • Cover areas nationally and internationally
  • Responsible for building and managing sales teams
  • Build applicant databases
  • Pre-screen all candidates via phone for availability, interest level, and information regarding education, experience, training, job skills, and salary requirements
  • Review resumes and make daily outbound calls to follow up applicants and other leads
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Maintain systems on applicants and tracking open positions
  • Arrange travel and lodging for applicants as needed

Required Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Recruiting or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 - 4years experience with a recruiting/staffing firm or as an in-house recruiter
  • Ability to tap into multinational and multicultural sources for candidates
  • Proven techniques for sourcing candidates through job boards, social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), etc.
  • Expertise with candidate and prospect tracking tools (CRM systems)
  • Top notch oral/written communication and time management skills are critical
  • Must be a motivated and resourceful sales professional
  • Highly articulate with corporate/professional presentation
  • Proven track in building long term relationships
  • Proven success in selling and closing applicants
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Enjoy challenge of working in a sometimes high-pressure environment
  • Ambition and determination to do whatever it takes to get the job done

Desired Skills

  • Experience in bi-lingual or International recruiting
  • Familiarity with skills testing
  • Fluent in language(s) other than English
  • Knowledge of international business, cultures and customs

Translation Services - Project Manager

Job Description

This position functions within a team of project managers, sales and client relations personnel with responsibilities that include supporting multiple, ongoing foreign language translation projects from inception through distribution to translators, review of completed documents, through customer service follow-up with clients. You will be responsible managing translation schedules, as well as adhering to quality control processes.  You will assist in managing multiple projects involving various languages, lengths and formats.  Position will be located in our Greenville, SC Headquarters office.

Required Skills

  • At least 2-3 years work experience in a role managing multiple ongoing clients and projects
  • Can handle multiple demands at different times from suppliers, vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Can multi-task at a high level
  • Ability to organize suppliers and vendors
  • Meet deliverables according to non-negotiable tight dead-lines
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in English
  • Competent with Windows platforms including Excel, Word, MS Office, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree

Desirable Knowledge and Experience 

  • Knowledge of International Business
  • Knowledge of Foreign Cultures
  • Educated and experienced in a foreign language (Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese) Working knowledge of Translation Memory Tools (TRADOS, SDLX, Star Transit)
  • Knowledge of Quark, Frame Maker, Illustrator, PageMaker, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and other desktop publishing software is a plus

The Telemarketing/Inside Sales Representative
 
The person in this role understands how organizations penetrate multilingual markets by translating and globalizing their documents and websites. They quickly build strong relationships with prospective clients on the phone.  These relationships are based on their deep understanding of each prospect’s business strategy as well as the needs and priorities of departments and individuals within each prospect.  They understand where in the company to find the prospect stakeholders who will likely use our services.  They are consensus builders who generate a sense of urgency and excel in “complex sales” environments.  You are able to weave your way through the corporate structure to find the decision maker. Foreign Translations Inc Telemarketing/Inside Sales Representatives are rewarded for their success with commissions up to $60,000 on top of a base salary.

Job Description
  • Attain and exceed outbound call objectives and sales goals prospecting for new business; 
  • Complete prospect calls – our calls are warm and targeted;
  • Generate new sales by effectively engaging prospects via telephone and sending them to the appropriate link on the FTI website;
  • Set and achieve weekly/monthly/yearly goals of qualified sales opportunities; 
  • Provide prospects with thorough and comprehensive information on Company’s service offerings;
  • Research and understand  prospects’ business needs;
  • Utilize lead generation software tool to target call list;
  • Maintain accurate updated sales and prospecting activity records in Salesforce.com CRM system;
